Updating Profile
To update your profile, select "Account Settings" from the main menu. On the next screen, you can fill in all the fields you want displayed on your profile. Fields with a lock next to them are hidden from the public. You can also make your profile private if you so wish, although read the "Private Profile" section below because private profiles come with restrictions you should be aware of. Be sure to go to the "Settings" tab and click the "Subscribe Now" button to toggle the email notifications to your liking. Be sure that you turn off notifications for "New Messages" under Inbox to turn on message encryption. For end-to-end encryption, the person you're messaging must also have this notification turned off.

Join a Group.
After signing up, start by either clicking the "Enter" button on the home page or by selecting "Search Groups" from the menu in the top left corner.

From the "Groups" page, you can search from the available public groups listed and join them by clicking the "Join" button to the right of the group name and thumbnail.

After joining the group, click the group name or thumbnail to enter the group page.
Once on the group page, you're free to comment on other people's posts or create your own if the owner allows public posts via the box at the top of the group.

Create a Group
Whilst on the groups page, press "Create group" at the top right of the table.

This will bring up a box. Here you can type in a name for the group, upload a banner for the group, and set whether the group is public or private.

When you have finished, press the "Create" button. You will be taken to the group page you have just created. From the right-hand side, complete the rest of the steps by clicking each one on the list and finishing the group creation process.

Be sure to review the group setting, which has 3 tabs.

Tab 1 "Info"
Here you can change the name of the group, upload a new banner and change privacy settings of the group.

Tab 2 "Content"
Here you can remove certain tabs from the group, like media, files, members and events.

Tab 3 "Admin Tools"
Here you can change the permissions of your group members and create a questionnaire that members requesting to join must fill out before you decide to accept them into the group.

Click edit under "Member Permissions" to toggle the following options.

Who can post in this group?
-
Admin - Restrict members from creating posts, meaning only you can post to this group.
-
All Group Members - This allows anyone who has joined your group to post in the group.

Who can invite members to this group?
-
Admin - Restrict members from inviting other members, meaning only you can invite others to this group
-
All Group Members - Allow anyone who has joined your group to invite others.

Who can add members to this group?
-
Admin - This will force potential members to request to join the group. Users will not become members until you accept their request to join, meaning only you can invite others to this group. Select this option if you plan to use a questionnaire before accepting members.
-
All Group Members - Allows anyone who has joined your group to invite others.

Membership Questions - Create a questionnaire that people requesting to join your group must fill out. This enables you to decide whether to accept them into your group. This is only effective if you select "Admin" under "Who can add members to the group?" in "Member Permissions".

Private Groups
When creating a private group, there are two options you can select underneath "Private". "Visible" and "Hidden".
Visible - Selecting this means your group will still be listed amongst other groups and can still be found on the site. People can still view your group name, description and banner, but all posts and files are hidden from non-members of the group.

Hidden - The group is hidden from all members of the site, can not be searched for and only those directly invited or given a direct link can view the group name, description and banner. Only members can view the files and posts on this group.

Private Members
You can make your profile hidden via your account settings. However, your comments and posts on public groups will still be visible to everyone alongside your profile picture and name. This will only make your profile and details about you hidden, and disable anyone from searching for you on the site. Any file uploaded to your profile will still be publicly visible via the public "File Share" library. Only files uploaded in a private group are hidden from the public library. Profiles that are hidden can also no longer message other users on the site unless someone you previously had a conversation with messages you. To enable your profile to be hidden, head over to "Account settings" in the main menu, scroll to the bottom of the page and expand Profile Privacy. Now simply click "Make Profile Private".

File Share
Any file shared via the "File Share" option in the menu or via your "Files" tab on your profile is added to the public file library and is accessible to all members on this site, whether your profile is hidden or not. Only files uploaded to a group are exclusively available to the members of that group and not publicly available in the files library. To upload files to the public library, simply select "File Share" from the main menu and then on the next screen select "Add File".

End-to-End Encrypted Instant Messaging
End-to-end encryption for instant messaging is turned off by default for all new members. To turn this on, go to the "Account Settings" page via the main menu and then select the settings tab. Click the "Subscribe Now" button and finally scroll down to "Inbox" and turn off email notifications for "New Messages". For end-to-end encryption to be active, the person you're messaging must also have this notification turned off.

Upload Files to a Group / Create a Post in a Group
Uploading files to a group will limit access to only the group members, unlike uploading them via "File Share" or via the "Files" tab on your profile, which makes files publicly available and viewable in the public file library. Uploading files to a group is the same process as creating a post to a group.
First, go to the group you want to post to or upload files to (make sure you are a member and the group admin has enabled public posts) and click "Create a Post".

Now, enter a title for the post or file and a description.

To upload a file, GIF, video, or photo, click the correct icon below the description.
Finally, locate the file you wish to upload on your computer, select it and click "Publish"
